As part of the art collection, in 2022, the painter Nail Ćelović donated to the Priboj Homeland Museum a part of his works from the earliest period of his creativity, ten paintings in the technique of oil on canvas and 86 drawings.
Nail was born in Priboj in 1964, where he received primary and secondary education. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo in 1990 at the painting department, where he continues his postgraduate studies in the field of restoration and conservation.
He built his artistic world guided by his interest in movement in a certain space. This never refers exclusively to the physical but also includes the spiritual space. He observes and records all the important differences between the inner and outer spaces, the cooperation and the energy that takes place between them. He is an unconventional artistic phenomenon that thinks in shapes and colors and moves from the real to the abstract. Abstracting information from a realistic scene results in an abstract painterly expression. He has been living and working in the Netherlands for over three decades. Nail Ćelović is the winner of the prestigious Dutch Albert Temote award with the explanation of the commission that he is an art-educated, persistent and promising artist in the future. He has 44 years of serious and dedicated artistic work behind him and a large number of exhibitions: USA, Germany, Turkey, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro.
